Just a brain teaser:
Is holographic consensus supposed to find the correct decision among a set of options? The answer, in my opinion, is “no”. It is designed to find the decision that would be taken if an absolute majority of REP holders were asked. And in this, it excels.
However, the decision taken by the absolute majority might be wrong. In the end it is based on the mean ability of members to predict the outcome.
But you don’t want a
mean() function, you want the
How to implement a
max() function when receiving inputs from many sources about what decision to make?
Post inspired by the outcome of this decision which, so far, has costed Genesis ~2,000 DAI.
