Following the passing of the Refocus and Restructure Phase 2: Accountability, Access, Anatomy and Phase 3: Budgetary Process proposals, DXdao began its shift towards the implementation of a 6-month budgetary process.Coinciding with the 6-month budgetary process, DXdao established that contributor payments will be distributed through its newly formed Guilds.
The following outlines how to create contributor and payment proposals through Guilds.
Overview
How to Create and submit a contributor and payment proposal through Guilds
Step 1: Create and post your contributor proposal (scope of contribution) in your Guild forum
Step 2: Wait 5 days before submitting your contributor proposal to your Guild for voting
Step 3. Submit a payment proposal to your Guild after each completed contribution month
Step 4: Post reflections in Guild forum and submit the final period payment proposal
When to submit a Guild Contributor Proposal
Guild contributor proposals are submitted in a 2-month cadence if you have been contributing to DXdao for less than 1 year. If you have contributed to DXdao for 1 year or longer you are eligible to submit your contributor proposals in a 3-month cadence.
Additionally, guild contributor proposals should be posted at the beginning of a period to allow for guild evaluation and discussion. Proposals should be submitted as a signal proposal in the Guild for voting after 5 days of initial posting.
Contributor Proposal Format - What to Include

When to submit a Contributor Payment Proposal
Separate from contributor proposals, payment proposals are proposals in which contributors claim payment for completed work within their guild/s. It is recommended that contributors submit their payment proposal at the end of each completed month, (this will change when streaming payments become available.) A contributor should submit their proposal one week prior to when they intend to be compensated for their work.

REP
Contributors that commit at least 40 hours per week to DXdao receive 0.1667% REP per month. Contributors working less than 40 hours per week should calculate the amount of REP they receive in proportion to the amount of hours per week they contribute to DXdao. Additionally, individual Guild REP will be discussed and determined once all Guild budgets have passed on-chain.
Trial period Guild Proposal
Trial period proposals are allowed only for new contributors whose role has been pre-approved within their guild budget.
There is a 1 month trial period at the start of a new contributor’s first pay period. The first pay period is 3 months. The point of the 1 month trial period is to confirm that the contributor is “who they say they are,” meaning they are able and willing to complete the required scope of contribution. The 1 month trial period is paid at a 50% of salary rate and the following 2 months at an 80% compensation rate. This also affects REP distribution, meaning REP will be distributed at a 50% rate for the 1 month trial period and the following 2 months at an 80%.
