How to Check Proposal Content when Alchemy does not (xDai)

Guide for Checking Proposal contents when Alchemy isn’t displaying correctly

Two ways:

  • From the Alchemy interface
  • From the proposal submission transaction

From Alchemy Interface

  1. Find and copy the proposal ID for the proposal you want to see the contents of. This will be at the end of the URL you are looking at on Alchemy.

  2. Go to the “Information” in the scheme of the proposal that you want to see.

  1. Click the “Address of Plugin” link

This will take you to Blockscout to the contract for the scheme in the proposal

  1. Go to logs tab on Blockscout
  2. Copy the proposal ID from Step 1 and search for it (ctrl-F) in the Logs tab on Blockscout page for scheme contract. You should find the a log of the transaction for that proposalID
  3. Copy the _descriptionHash located two rows below the Proposal ID

  1. Paste the hash at the end of any IPFS gateway link, such as “https://ipfs.io/ipfs/” like https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmYnF3sHwJGqb71iLtQXhZytDhHKgdnEi8szDJro6b4Zg6 and you should see the text contents of the proposal

From the proposal submission transaction

  1. Find the transaction that was used to submit the proposal on Blockscout
  2. Scroll down to “Input” section and copy the _description hash
  3. Paste the hash at the end of any IPFS gateway link, such as “https://ipfs.io/ipfs/” like https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmYnF3sHwJGqb71iLtQXhZytDhHKgdnEi8szDJro6b4Zg6 and you should see the text contents of the proposal

https://augustol.github.io/dxvote/#/proposal/ + PROPOSAL ID

Should work too, (connected to mainnet) use it only to view proposal description for now.

Example: dxvote.eth
