Notes:

Documentation and Manifesto

  • Manifesto - latest iteration and forum discussion
    • [Powers] Manifesto should be what DXdao stands for and how it distinguishes itself. Everyone wants to decentralize and be open but the DXdao can show that through its on-chain history.
    • [Sky] Not as much about the products in it but the DXdao as a community. It might not be best to put the inflation targets there. But we could update every year.
    • [Ingamar] Could we get new on-boards to read this to understand?
    • [Follow up] Discuss further in the forum discussion and make changes. Update and prepare for formal proposal
  • Documentation - after the manifesto, what is some additional documentation needed for DXdao?
    • [Pete Smeet] - need condensed material that is easy to digest. Start with the “Facts” about number of tokens, easy explainer about the bonding curve, how is Omen owned by the DXdao and how does that benefit DXD holders?
    • [Sky] - Trying to squeeze all of the cool stuff into a cool DXD page document, but there are some concerns about increasing the VC appeal [John] Yes - but that doesn’t mean we can’t have clear communication. A lot of these things are lacking because the items are newer than they appear.
    • [Pete Smeet] - could explain these things in a series of blog posts to create a content campaign. [Powers] Even just use it as a way to rewrite the whitepaper.
    • [Followup] - Pete will start a forum thread about working on documentation.

Governance as a service

  • Guilds & DAO to DAO interactions - overview of forum post from [Nylon]
  • DMG governance - [John] discussion about integrating into DMM’s governance. Some discussion of this in the weekly Dev call. (would be helpful for Compound governance too)
  • Mesa/IDOs - It is a permissionless dex, so projects will list on it, but there is an opportunity for the DXdao to capitalize on that interest. Ingamar and Beth working on an IDO book that would highlight the benefits of working with DXdao.
    Budget and REP distribution
  • DXD voting rights - discussion of post on DXD staking for REP. Seems to be consensus about moving forward with one of the options laid out by Nylon. Need to come up with sizing and specifics.

Bonus - discussion on “turning off” the bonding curve. It’s possible for DXdao to “pause” but it’s a balance to how much the treasury benefits. Will continue to monitor.
